Put that little button to the On Position to get things going. You will get a warning that turning on the portable Wi-Fi hotspot will turn off the Wi-Fi, just click OK. Then you will be asked to configure it to your liking including naming it and adding a password then you will see the following screen telling you how to connect other devices.
Then go to the Network settings on your computer or device and click connect to your named hotspot and that is it. Just be aware that the hotspot is a battery drainer on the phone so plug it in if possible and you will be using data from your wireless plan.
Checking the Wi-Fi status shows the connection to the hotspot at a speed of 73Mbps. That is a tad bit short of the 100Mbps that 4G is at least supposed to be able to achieve and a far cry from the 1Gbps that 4G is supposed to be able to deliver. But it is still not a bad Internet connection in today’s standards.
